關於這咖啡

藝伎品種於1931年在衣索比亞西南方被發現,而1970年被帶入巴拿馬種植。2002年開始對於翡翠莊園來說是一個轉戾點,第二代莊園主認為莊園內兩區所生產的咖啡一直以來都是採收混合出售,雖然整體質量不錯,但卻無法在混合採收中找出那一股極為優雅的柑橘果香及甜膩奔放香氣。因此他開始逐一對各個栽種區塊進行杯測評比,終於在Jaramillo園區海拔較高的山谷發現了一個產量偏少的咖啡果實-藝伎。翡翠莊園藝伎自2004冠冕巴拿馬最佳咖啡,至2010年六度稱王。

The gesha varietal was discovered in the south of Ethiopia in 1931. It was cultured carefully in Panama in 1970, but for La Esmeralda, 2002 was the turning point when they decided to start separating coffees from each region for individual cup evaluation as opposed to blending. This resulted in the preservation of elegant floral notes and sweet citrus flavours. The gesha plants located on higher elevation Jaramillo region. 

Since La Esmeralda won Best of Panama in 2004, they had since continued to win for 6 consecutive years till 2010.
