About this coffee :

Valmar莊園座落在一個完美地區有著峻峭山群、翠綠雨林。位於Alta Verapaz的上半部,非常靠近科班(Coban),那裡生產著極硬的咖啡豆。當Valmar莊園被瓜地馬拉總統授與給現任擁有者的曾祖父,自1875年起開始成為咖啡種植園後就一直是家族事業。咖啡莊園有187公頃的咖啡種植園,有多元的品種(Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai, Pache)。

莊園在咖啡生長過程中非常專注於環境責任,他們保留原生自然森林,另有100公頃是重新造林區以種植松樹和柏樹。這個動作幫助保存莊園內的天然水源,讓各種各樣的動物都得以棲息,像是鹿、鳥、以及松鼠。另一方面,他們也使用破皮後的咖啡殘渣作有機堆肥,咖啡品質同樣是很重要的考量因素,他們細心照顧生產過程的每一個環節,從挑選種子到最後一步的儲存,咖啡皆是人工手採的。

這款咖啡順滑多汁,帶有蔓越莓和黑加侖的果香,韻味帶有杏仁的回味。一支令人喝了非常愉快的咖啡豆。

Valmar Estate is located in a perfect area with steep mountains and verdant rainforest. Located in the upper half of Alta Verapaz, very close to Coban, where very hard bean coffee is produced. When the Valmar estate was awarded to the current owner's great-grandfather by the President of Guatemala, it has been a family business since it became a coffee plantation in 1875. The coffee estate has 187 hectares of coffee plantations, with a variety of varieties (Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai, Pache).

They very focused on environmental responsibility during the coffee growing process. They retain the native natural forest, and another 100 hectares are reforested to plant pine and cypress trees. This action helps preserve the natural water source in the manor and allows all kinds of animals to Perched, like deer, birds, and squirrels. 

On the other hand, they also use peeled coffee residues as organic compost. Coffee quality is also an important consideration. They take care of every step of the production process. From the selection of seeds to the final storage, coffee is hand picked by hand.

This coffee is smooth & juicy, with cranberry & blackcurrant fruity notes, finish with a hint of almond aftertaste. A very enjoyable cuppa.
